Passion Project Update

Today I found out my design for my clock. I have decided to make a bottle cap clock.
My next step is to bring my things to make the clock.

Passion project

Rosie and I have started researching on how to make a clock.
We are wanting to make a clock because we find it fascinating how they work.
We achieved finding instructions and how the part connect.
Our next steps are to find out every part to a clock and why they are important.

Leadership

For Stage Challenge I brought a lot of things for my group. I worked with all the different parts that i got. I was given a part every time some on in our group performed. I had a lot of trouble getting on all my clothes at once.

Another thing that I have done good leadership was when... Rosie didn't know what to do for passion project so I invited her to join me. Then we both made a decision on what we both wanted to do.

End of term reflection

Election Discusion

On September 20th, New Zealand citizens will be voting in the 2014 election. The nine parties competing all have different polices and who will you be persuaded by.

Economy=When businesses make a lot of money everyone benefits even the poor. They Economy is a big issue around this time. United Future, National, Mana, Act and Maori all strongly agree. In contrast Green strongly disagree. On the other hand Labour, NZ first and conservative aren't 100% sure.

Last Thursday I had Peer Mediation with Sophie and Iona. An example of a problem we solved was with two little boys who wanted to play a game with each other. 

One boy (boy 1) wanted to play tag and the other boy (boy 2) wanted to play soccer. Boy 1 said that soccer was for stupid people. Boy 2 then started shouting and ran away. 

We helped by gathering them both up and let them 1 by 1 tell their own story of what happened. After that we asked if they were friends and they both said yes. We all came up with a soulation was that every 5 minutes they would play the other game.

Writing-My parody

I was just sitting there having a cup of tea on a usual Sunday afternoon. Then I looked out of my bubble home and to my surprise standing there was a massive wolf.
"AHHH" I yelled and galloped to my brothers house. When I arrived he was very confused and I tried to explain but words weren't coming out of my mouth. Finally I did spoke and I said "at least we will be safe in you brick home".        

M goal was vocabulary. I showed vocabulary it the blue parts.
I think that I'm at Relational because I can pick good words to use but I can't work with very much feedback.

Leadership Peer Mediation

Today I was being a Peer Mediator at lunch. This was one of the problems: One boy got a ball from his class room then a another boy took his ball. He got really mad and started yelling and screaming at the other boy. The other boy got really sad and got me, the peer mediator.

HWC- Salvation Army

This is me giving unwanted clothes and shoes to the Salvation Army. I have learnt to not throw away things you don't want instead give it to the Salvation Army because they are always looking for new things to collect and sell.

On Tuesday, I helped out in the library. I helped put books away and read to younger children when they brought me books. Their favourite book I read to them was a book about farm animals. I helped out on desk as well for a bit.

Businesses have more responsibility than consumers.

Firstly the businesses work hard to give the consumers what they would consider to buy because the consumers will not buy what they do not like.

Secondly the workers spend their whole day being responsible of the business because they have to look after the business when they are on duty. They also miss out on spending time with family and /or friends.

This piece of writing shows that I have used Technical Words and Connectives.
Overall I think I am at Relational because I use Technical words and connectives without trying.
My next step is Extended Abstract and seek feedback on my writing.

The defective baby carrier.

The first example of the baby carrier, where a fake business was stealing an idea that put babbies to risk. The consumers that were buying defective goods and putting their own babbies in danger. As a result of another company that looks very simular to the real selling company is getting bad comments and losing trust from the consumers. Consequently this means that the good selling company can go out of business.

End Of Term1 Reflection

The area of my learning I have  improved on this term is math. Substitute values into formula. Because I had no clue what it meant then I learnt it in 2 weeks.The area I most want to improve next term is my writing because my sentence structure is not the best.

My goal was to include complex sentences by adding commas. I have used this sample because it shows that I have used commas in my writing.

Last Tuesday, there was a big drama, at Miley's house. Miley has a boyfriend called mike. Mike likes cheese. Mike has a big mission coming up your probably asking why does he have a mission coming up and what for. We'll mike is a wizard and his mission is defeating evil goblins.mike got really excited and trained everyday until one day Miley asked mike to marry her. Mike went white he hadn't told Miley about his deepest secret about marriage. 

Making your own decisions

Friends : Friends often pressure you to do something because they don't want to do it them self. No one can make you do something you don't want to do because you make the final decisions on what actions you do. Your friends some times use emotional blackmail but if it doesn't feel right for you don't do it.

Rosie and I played 10 guitars on ukulele. At the moment I think I can play 10 guitars because I know all the chords and all the words. I have really improved on changing the chords. My next step is changing to G7.

My Body Paragraph 1 And My Conclusion

Paragraph 1
The NZ flag colours don't represent NZ and it has no national icons to make our flag stand out like the kiwi, sheep,marmite and other icons. NZs flag has to much blue and not enough white. It needs some WAAZAAM. Country's have changed their flag and we have done it before so we can now. People who don't want the flag changed might like the new look who knows. People say they shouldn't because of the money and the time we can make up for the money because of the bills we pay because we pay heaps of money!We can all have a vote and everybody likes voting because you get a say and it's fun!

Conclusion
I believe that the flag should be changed so we can include National icons and our true colours. It needs some WAAZAAM and the money we spend on it can be payed back because of the bills we pay.We can make a difference it would be a nice change!

The colours suit the landscape for example:The river is purple and the sun is red. It sands out 

and the purple river drags the attention.
