Writing Prove It

My prove it writing paragraph.

Do you think that its fair that kids have to wait till the weekend and holidays to go on cool adventures and make cool memories? How are we meant to have a fun time if we are always at school and school goes for ages. Because face it school is boring and you would rather be playing with your friends and family. By the time school has finished some people need to catch the bus home and can't hang out with anyone because there isn't enough time. Also how can we do our homework when there's no time after school with the other activities we are involved with outside of school.

I'm at Extended Abstract because I have done everything in my writing that I had to achieve and I have put it on my blog.

Goals Reflection Term 4

1.) Improve in writing, reading and maths.      I think with this goal I have improved quite well. I am getting better at learning the strategies and not giving up when I am really struggling to understand.

         2.) Spelling and remembering.      I think that I'm only doing better in half this goal. I'm still not so good at remembering but I'm getting better at spelling.
     
        3.)Being a better role model.      I think that I have/am being a good role model because I have been wearing my hat and respectfully reminding others to do so.

Koru Games

Over the last 3 days I have been playing basketball for the Koru Games. I really enjoyed playing basketball because it was fun working together and I enjoyed learning how to play. Thinking back to the beginning of the year, I really improved on shooting and passing because I learnt the proper way to shoot and how much power to put into the shot. Also passing because I learnt how hard to pass the ball and where to pass.
Overall I found the Koru Games was an awesome experience because of how fun it was to verse other teams and learn how to play a sport I had never played before.

Our next step is to do find the area in a circle. We are at Extended Abstract for this goal because we have completed the goal and put the video on you tube and on our blogs.

Math Goal Term 2

 Devise a strategy to solve a whole number problems.

Im at Extended Abstract with this goal because I have passed it. My next goal is to explore and describe a locus formed in a practical situation.

Term 3 Goal Reflection

 I think I'm going well with my goals because I'm getting better at writing and I have been using different strategies to help with learning it. I'm speaking more in bigger groups to gain confidence. I have turned up to my jobs and roles to show that I am willing to help.

In this piece of writing I was learning to add more detail by adding details with a comma. The bits highlighted in yellow show I can do this.

Reading Goal

  WALT: recognise effect/ purpose of literary texts that subvert conventional features. I am at extended abstract for this goal so I have now passed.

My careers explanation

 High School Subjects

A reccomended subject would be another language ( a well known language would be good). This would be helpful because the people who are thinking about employing you would know that you could help someone who might not speak English and they have a problem. Technology would be a great subject to take because you are working with computers, iPads, phones , ect. Another high school subject you should consider would be maths.

Term 2 reflection on my goals

I think I'm doing good with achieving my goals because I think that I'm getting better at writing, reading and maths. I have been trying to speak more clearly when I am asked to speak in front of the class. I am trying to be better role model by turning up to my roles and trying to get involved at morning tea and lunch time.

My Discovery

My Discovery

Multistructural:
We think that we have reached multistructural because we can bounce the ball towards the hoop and take two steps effectivly and we can flick the ball up but is not quite accurate yet. Our next step is getting the ball in most times.

My Poem

                                                                      Gymnastics
                                                       The springy floor is like a big trampoline.
                                                       The bouncy vault is like a water bed.
                                                       The leotards are as colourful as the rainbow.
                                                       The trampoline throws me up high into the sky.
                                                       The chalky bar swings me into the air.
                                                       And the competitions make me feel flexible.

I used some rhyme because a poem is not a poem without rhyme. I used similes because gymnastics
can described as so many different things. I used personification because I find poems more interesting with things doing things that they can't actually do it.
